Service ActivitiesThe student council serves the school by providing leadership and helping to organize school-wide activities such as spirit rallies, the talent show, and field day, as well as the annual St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving food drive and Christmas Toy Drive. The 8th graders have several responsibilities including preparing the gym for assemblies, serving as lunch monitors, staffing the office during lunch, and helping to supervise grades K-7 during rainy day indoor recesses. The 7th graders serve the school community as traffic safety officers. They assist younger students in crossing the street, facilitate the flow of cars on school grounds, lock and unlock campus gates, and help monitor playground safety before and after school. The 6th grade serves the school by closing all exterior doors after each recess and by assisting the staff in monitoring play activities inside the fenced play structure. The 5th grade serves the school community by doing campus clean-up after each recess. Penny War - Each year, St. Timothy holds a Penny War to raise money for a specific charitable organization. In the past, money has been sent in response to the Oklahoma City bombing, St. Joseph's Village in San Francisco, and overseas missions. |
